Expanding into the Southeast Asian AI-driven security automation market
Information security specialist Hunesion (CEO Jeong Dong-seop) announced that it has signed a reseller agreement with Vietnamese cybersecurity company SCS (Smart Cyber Security Joint Stock Company, CEO Ngo Tuan Anh) to supply its AI-based security orchestration, automation and response (SOAR) platform to the Vietnamese market.
The agreement is a follow-up to the SOAR supply cooperation MOU the two companies signed this past May, and establishes a practical local sales structure for selling the product and growing the business in Vietnam.
Under the agreement, SCS will sell the AI-based SOAR platform "Secure Orchestra" supplied by Hunesion in the Vietnamese market, and will handle local customer acquisition, marketing, sales and delivery. Hunesion will provide product supply, technical support, training and deployment know-how for Secure Orchestra, which was developed by its subsidiary SECURE SYSTEMS. Through joint marketing and technical cooperation, the two companies plan to expand the business across a range of industries in Vietnam, including public institutions, finance and manufacturing.
Vietnam continues to increase its cybersecurity investment alongside a government-led digital transformation policy. As the growing use of generative AI and a shortage of security professionals drive demand for automated security operations, interest is also rising in SOAR platforms that link multiple security solutions to automate everything from threat detection through analysis and response.
Secure Orchestra, the platform being supplied to the Vietnamese market, is an AI-based integrated security operations platform built on SECURE SYSTEMS' proprietary technology. It organically connects a variety of security solutions to automate threat detection, analysis and response, and supports fast, efficient decision-making by security teams through its own AI engine and intuitive playbooks. By automating repetitive response tasks and prioritizing security events to shorten response times, the platform is expected to improve security operations efficiency for Vietnamese companies and institutions that struggle to secure skilled security staff.
Drawing on the security operations experience it has accumulated across the public, financial and defense sectors in Korea, along with its AI-based security technology, Hunesion plans to build competitiveness in the Vietnamese market and keep expanding the business through cooperation with local partners.
An SCS representative said the reseller agreement is an important starting point that turns the two companies' cooperation into actual business, adding that SCS will work actively to deliver Hunesion's AI-based SOAR technology to Vietnamese customers, raise the level of local security operations, and win new customers.
Hunesion CEO Jeong Dong-seop said the agreement is significant because it marks the point at which both companies moved into a full business phase on a foundation of trust following the MOU. He added that by combining SCS's local market experience and sales capabilities with Hunesion's AI-based SOAR technology, the company aims to secure successful references in Vietnam and use them as a basis for continued expansion across Southeast Asia.
