Network security company Hunesion (CEO Jeong Dong-seop) announced on the 10th that it has partnered with security monitoring service provider SECURE SYSTEMS (CEO Son Dong-shik) to support AI-based operational technology (OT) security monitoring services that respond to cyberattacks in real time in digital transformation (DX) environments.

Hunesion has established an OT security monitoring system with enhanced visibility by integrating its one-way network linkage solution 'IONetDD', network access control solution 'IONNAC', and SECURE SYSTEMS' security monitoring automation solution (SOAR) 'Secure Orchestra'.

Protocol information collected from OT networks is securely linked through 'IONetDD', while Secure Orchestra provides integrated security monitoring. The AI analysis engine 'Richard' of Secure Orchestra models normal distributions to build a whitelist and monitors for abnormal anomalies in new values based on specific models.

In particular, Secure Orchestra is a security platform that automates and orchestrates response processes to various security threats, enabling SOC security personnel to effectively and automatically respond to continuous and repetitive attacks, as well as quickly and accurately identify and address various security events.

OT environments have segments separated according to equipment and processes. Through integration with IONNAC, Secure Orchestra can block only specific zones to effectively prevent the spread of security incidents. When Secure Orchestra detects anomalies in a particular segment, it can pre-emptively sense the impact on other segments, distribute abnormal signatures through a response module, and block the segment via IONNAC.

Son Dong-shik, CEO of SECURE SYSTEMS, said, “For OT security monitoring, many companies convert and manage data exchange protocols like industrial communication standard (OPC) within OT environments. By integrating with Secure Orchestra, a large amount of information can be analyzed and anomalies identified to prevent security incidents in advance.”
