SECURE SYSTEMS Wins Korea Western Power Project... "AI-based Security Operations" image

SECURE SYSTEMS (CEO Son Dong-sik), an AI security operations platform specialist, announced on the 12th that it has been awarded the next-generation security operations platform project for Korea Western Power (President Lee Jeong-bok). SECURE SYSTEMS is rapidly establishing its position in the public sector by winning procurement projects such as Seoul Housing & Communities Corporation’s project earlier this year.

As AI emerges as a core competitive edge in future industries, the energy and power sector is accelerating its AI investments. Korea Western Power, which operates national security facilities such as power plants, is implementing strategies to strengthen cybersecurity through integrated security control and incident response. This project was launched to introduce AI-based security operations that can monitor unknown security threats. The company explained that, for the first time in Korea, an AI-based CERT (Computer Emergency Response Team) has been established, making it possible to analyze web-based attacks, network vulnerability scanning attacks, malware, and AI-driven incidents.

SECURE SYSTEMS’s AI-based integrated security operations automation solution 'Secure Orchestra (Secure Orchestra V3.0)' is a SOAR (Security Orchestration, Automation & Response) platform. It standardizes and automates simple and repetitive daily tasks handled manually by SOC (Security Operations Center) teams, thus maximizing the efficiency of security operations. This reduces response time and improves quality, even with a small staff, allowing SOC teams to focus on more complex, critical tasks.

Since SOAR must be integrated with various solutions and tools to automate or prevent cyberattacks, orchestration is highly significant. In this sense, the name 'Secure Orchestra' implies that, like a conductor in an orchestra, it effectively integrates a broad range of security solutions and tools to coordinate and enhance security responses, the company explained.

Son Dong-sik, CEO of SECURE SYSTEMS, stated, “Secure Orchestra goes beyond being a simple security solution by providing an integrated, automated response system as a next-generation security platform. We will continue our leadership in enhancing the efficiency of security operations and management, not only in energy infrastructures like Korea Western Power but also in the financial and private sectors.”

Meanwhile, SECURE SYSTEMS is planning to jointly establish a software supply chain security management system with its parent company Hunesion to help enhance domestic software supply chain security, in line with global efforts to strengthen software supply chain risk management frameworks.
